Come and create a beautiful handprinted spring garland with your mum, siblings or other loved one. We will be creating strings of colourful prints using a simple, but very effective, relief printing method using foam and thick, artist quality card and inks. Each of you will create your own printed designs which you can then share with each other to make your own garland to take with you and decorate your home for years to come. About me: I am an experienced artist and teacher and I run printmaking and other art/craft workshops for both children and adults. I aim to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere, empowering you to enjoy yourself, make something you’re proud of, take some creative risks and learn a new skill while you’re at it. I will provide lots of inspiration and templates if you need them but please feel free to bring your own ideas and images of things that are meaningful to you! No experience needed at all, the workshop is suitable for complete beginners. All materials and tuition will be provided. No sharp tools (apart from scissors) will be used in this workshop. Please note: This is primarily a workshop for adults but I’m happy to include a limited number of children aged 10+ when booked alongside an adult. The two-hour workshop will start at 10 am in The Hut at White Post. (It’s just in the plant nursery round behind their main building) and the ticket price is per person and includes a hot drink of your choice from White Post Cafe and one of their delicious cakes! As they are expecting to be very busy on the day they have asked if I can send a pre-order for these (link available when you book!).
