About the event
Come and spend a day creatively in the heart of Wellington and learn how to create your own unique lampshades. Suitable for beginners or those with a little experience, this multiskill workshop will include showing you how to plan a design, safely and effectively handle the tools to carve and print rubber stamps, mix your own colour palette and print your design onto natural cotton calico. We will then assemble your material into a professionally finished 20cm diameter drum lampshade. Your stamps are reusable so you can take them home and make more or use them on paper or other materials as you please!
I will provide lots of inspiration but please feel free to bring your own ideas, images or sketches with you.
This will be a small group so we will have plenty of time to make sure you get the most out of the session.
